Hi !
Welcome To The Texas Divorce Navigator
Hey there! Are you a DIY client?
If you are going to be filing and serving these documents yourself, you can find instructions here.
Step 1: Petition or Response
If you are filing for divorce, you are the Petitioner. If you are responding, you are the Respondent.
For this section, you must know the general terms of your agreement as you will be required to state the relief requested by you and your spouse (for example, child support and division of assets).
You will also need to know if the responding spouse will do a waiver of service (easier) or require personal service for delivery of the Petition.
Step 2: Financial Disclosures or Waiver
In this step, you will enter your financial disclosure information or confirm that you and your spouse have agreed to waive this requirement.
If you are exchanging disclosures, supporting documents (such as pay stubs, account statements, tax returns, etc.) should be given directly to your spouse. To see what is needed, please click here.
Step 3: Final Agreement & Parenting Plan
In this final step of your divorce, you will confirm the terms you and your spouse have agreed to, including any support payments, asset division, and custody arrangements.
If you need help with this step, we have mediators, attorneys or financial planners available at a flat hourly rate.
