Learn More About Anisa Thobhani

I am a family law attorney dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions with clarity, confidence, and compassion. I have been licensed to practice law since 2011, when I was first licensed in California, and I have been licensed in Texas since 2017. Over the course of my 15-year legal career, I have gained a broad range of experience, including substantial work in family law representing clients in matters involving custody, visitation, and parent-child relationships. My approach to family law is rooted in the belief that effective representation goes beyond simply knowing the law. It means empowering clients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions for themselves and their families. I take the time to understand each client’s unique circumstances and goals, recognizing that no two families or solutions are the same. I am particularly aligned with collaborative and alternative dispute resolution approaches. I believe that, whenever possible, families benefit most from solutions they help create. Agreements reached with intention can reduce conflict, preserve dignity, and support long-term stability. My role is to guide clients through this process with thoughtful strategy, practical advice, and a steady, supportive presence. Clients often describe me as empathetic, clear, and honest. I pride myself on breaking down complex legal concepts into terms that are easy to understand so clients feel informed and confident every step of the way. At the same time, I believe in having open and transparent conversations, even when they are difficult. If the facts are not in a client’s favor or a goal may not be realistic, I approach those discussions with care and respect, ensuring clients receive truthful guidance while still feeling supported. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of legal settings, including both independent and firm environments, which allows me to adapt to different client needs and approaches. This flexibility supports my ability to meet clients where they are and help them move forward in a way that is both practical and meaningful. Outside of my legal work, I am a mother of four young children, including twins, which gives me a personal appreciation for the dynamics and demands of family life. I value spending time with my family, reading, and dancing, which help me stay grounded and bring balance to both my personal and professional life.
