Michael Bargas is an Oklahoma family law attorney and mediator with more than 17 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate divorce, child custody, paternity, guardianship, child support, and other domestic relations matters. Michael has handled hundreds of family law cases, ranging from straightforward uncontested matters to complex, high-conflict litigation and trials. After nearly two decades of practicing family law, Michael understands that going to court is not always the best way to solve a family’s problems. Litigation can be expensive, time-consuming, stressful, and unpredictable. His goal is to use his experience to help people find practical solutions while maintaining as much control over their own decisions as possible. Whether serving as a mediator or providing legal guidance, Michael takes a straightforward, practical approach. He helps clients understand their legal rights and options, identify the issues that matter most, and make informed decisions about how to move forward. His extensive courtroom experience also allows him to provide a realistic perspective on the potential costs and consequences of litigation when it can be avoided. Outside of his law practice, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Much of his free time is spent watching his son compete in sports and cheering on his oldest daughter as she performs in plays and musicals. He also spends plenty of time trying to keep up with his two-year-old daughter. Michael enjoys both playing and watching just about any competitive sport and appreciates the strategy, competition, and camaraderie that come with athletics. At home, he and his family share their lives with two dogs and a cat. And, when it comes to personal interests, Michael readily admits that his one true addiction is tattoos.
