Learn More About Michael Hiller
With over 35 years’ experience in divorce law and 34 in mediation, Michael Hiller is a Texas Board-Certified family lawyer committed to helping families navigate life's most challenging moments. Starting his legal career in a small Houston law firm nearly thirty-five years ago, Michael quickly realized that the traditional approach to family law, focused on litigation and courtroom battles, wasn't serving his clients as he had envisioned during law school. His passion for making a genuine difference in people’s lives led him to develop a more personalized approach to estate planning and family law that emphasizes relationships, communication, and solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs. Don’t worry - He goes to court when needed.
As one of the first lawyers in Texas to become a mediator and receive collaborative divorce training, Michael’s work extends beyond trials. He has built a unique reconciliation law practice that helps couples improve relationships, resolve conflicts amicably, and create tailored agreements for the future. His specialized services include all the above, as well as divorce trials when necessary. In divorce, he will handle your expensive custody battle as well as your property division.
With expertise in divorce, child custody, property division, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, mediation, and collaborative law, Michael offers a full range of family law services and works closely with clients to craft effective legal solutions.
Regardless of the services he offers, it is almost always better to resolve your case out-of-court, and mediation is usually the best way. As a Personal Family Lawyer® (PFL),even his estate planning practice is designed to keep your family out-of-court after you're gone. Instead of “See you in Court!”, it’s better to “See you in Mediation!”.
