Learn More About Zachary (Zac) Roeling
Zachary (Zac) Roeling, Esq., is an attorney, mediator, and the owner of YouLaw Colorado, LLC, where he offers a track record of effective and compassionate problem-solving. As an attorney, Zac provides nuanced and discreet advice to help clients navigate an outdated court system to avoid unneeded time, stress, money, and heartache. As a mediator, Zac works with family law litigants and with couples before a petition is filed. He also offers representation for private clients who meet his firm's criteria of mindfulness, integrity and respect. Zac draws on years of experience litigating cases from customary matters to complex cases involving difficult child custody (e.g., relocation, substance & personality disorders, alienation and mental health concerns) and high-end financial issues (e.g., business interests, idiosyncratic income, separate property & trust issues) at Colorado’s premier family law firms to help families in need reach resolution outside the courtroom when possible, as an attorney, mediator, and coach. He seeks to find harmony between his prior litigation-driven practice and contemporary conflict-resolution approaches incorporating mindfulness and emotional intelligence. He also has experience in drafting estate documents & pre- and post-nuptial agreements and understands well the myriad roles these documents play in divorce. He serves on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals (CCDP) as well as a Board Member for Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL) on behalf of the Denver Bar Association (DBA). He is a proud Colorado native (born and raised in Ft. Collins), a devoted reader and writer, and a classically trained pianist. In 2009/10, he taught English to secondary school students just west of Paris. He speaks fluent French also loves reading novels and magazines outdoors, spending time with his partner and their new Golden Retriever puppy, Zelda, or diving deep into a contemporary novel or HBO series
