An appointment with an attorney offers you the ability to get legal support for only what you need when you need it. Use this time to ask questions about your rights, how things like support are calculated, or have them review a document.

If you are already married and want to create an agreement controlling how assets should be divided in a divorce, Hello Divorce can prepare your postnuptial agreement (also called a postnup) using the terms that you and your spouse have agreed on.
How does it work?
Your attorney will work with you via email, phone, or video conferencing to create your agreement. After purchasing, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your first appointment.
How do I prepare?
- Draft bullet points for the terms of your agreement.
- Gather documents regarding finances (account statements, property titles, 401(k)s, stocks, debts, etc.). Your attorney will need these to prepare the financial disclosures required to craft your settlement agreement.
Attorney Calculation of Spousal Support or Child Support
Hello Divorce attorneys will help you calculate child support and spousal support for you using the court-approved method in your state, or for temporary support while your case is pending. Most states require this calculation if you have children together with your spouse.
Spousal support is triggered by one party making a motion asking for it, but there is a lot of judicial discretion. This means once your judicial officer hears your case, they can order support based on individual facts and circumstances, combined with state or county laws.
Calculate & File Support Modification
Hello Divorce professionals will help you calculate the correct amount of support for a modification, and file it with your family law court. Most states require this calculation if you have children together with your spouse.
